Napton Padel Club – Newsletter 2 | July 2026

1. Licensing Update

We have had several meetings with Napton Parish Council (NPC) to finalise the lease arrangements that will enable us to build and operate two padel courts at Napton Sports Field. The good news is that we are very close to completion. We are currently awaiting final confirmation from the Diocese that it is content for NPC to grant us a five-year licence.

2. Funding

We are pleased to share further positive news on funding. Warwickshire Lawn Tennis Association has increased its interest-free loan to the club from £20,000 over three years to £26,000 over six years, reflecting recent changes at national level. This additional support is a strong vote of confidence in the project.

3. Membership

Following recent posts on our website and social media, over 70 people have already registered their interest in becoming Founding Members and receiving early notification when these membership applications open. Around one-third of these are from Napton parish, which is a very encouraging sign of strong local interest and support—both of which will be vital to the club’s long-term success. Founding Membership will be limited to the first 75 applicants once the application process opens. If you would like priority notification of when this happens, but have not yet signed up, please visit:

https://naptonpadel.org/priority-list

General membership applications will open once we have confirmed an official opening date. If you are interested, we encourage you to register for updates via the website at https://naptonpadel.org/#newsletter-signup.

All members will receive a range of benefits outlined on our website, including the ability to invite non-member guests to play (at a slightly higher hourly rate).

4. Launch Plans

While we await final Diocese approval before confirming our opening date, we are planning an exciting launch programme, including:

  • A community launch event at the sports field
  • Free taster sessions
  • Complimentary introductory coaching
  • Free use of padel racquets and balls
  • Discounted court fees (for both members and pay-to-play users) during the first month of opening
  • Free access to the “My Clubhouse” booking and payment app
  • Access to the club’s WhatsApp community group

5. Thank You

As always, we are extremely grateful to RMF Installation and Services Limited, our commercial sponsor, for their continued support.
