Our community survey in June 2025, and how we've responded.

37%
of Napton households responded
98%
of respondents supported the courts

In their words

The more outdoor facilities there are in our village the better. Better for the health of all ages and makes our community more active.
Survey respondent
I'm hoping that more younger people could get into sport with Padel courts which would be wonderful.
Survey respondent
A court would I am sure be extremely well used by young and old.
Survey respondent
A brilliant addition which will attract new people to the village.
Survey respondent
Extremely excited by the prospect and would be happy to help.
Survey respondent
Could the showing it to the school children be a good gateway to introduce it to the parents?

Letters of support

"The possibility of having padel courts within walking distance of our school has sparked great enthusiasm from our team here. … With the courts being within a short walk of the school, this is something that a wide range of children could access … from informal sessions to taught lessons."
Beth HannaHead Teacher, St Lawrence Primary School, July 2025
"The more facilities Napton as a village can offer to both residents and visitors the better, with the increase in visitor footfall benefitting local businesses financially. … A new sport being available to Napton will hopefully allow and encourage more people to exercise outside with all the associated health benefits."
Adam SladeOwner, Napton Village Stores, June 2025

Beth (Bethan) Hanna wrote as Head Teacher in July 2025, before she became one of the charity's trustees.

Ideas we've noted for the future

  • Taster sessions and open days for people who have never played
  • Involving disability groups
  • A ladder or organised social play to help people find games
  • Support for other local sports, which the charity will be able to help with through grants to local sports clubs
